My client seeks an Air Conditioning Service Engineer to cover the South West, ideally Bristol / Cardiff.

The AC Service Air Conditioning Engineer will be required to perform the following:

  • Provide advice and technical expertise to engineers as required
  • Provide maintenance, inspection and repair services to air conditioning/ventilation/refrigeration/cooling systems
  • Complete planned maintenance to AHUs, VRVs, split systems, fan coil units, chillers and other equipment as required
  • Complete small works, installation and refurbishment of AC and cooling equipment
  • Maintain and manage the records for all HVAC kits on the facility and provide a monitoring service for the critical maintenance schedules, including F-Gas record.
  • Diagnose faults and use diagnostics tools to ascertain correct solutions

Requirements:

  • Experience in Air Conditioning and Chiller maintenance
  • Building services knowledge, to have been exposed to all aspects of building services, including electrical knowledge
  • Proactive attitude and a strong desire to take ownership of the site and contract
  • Full clean driving license

Salary - £35,000 - £45,000

  • Overtime (available all year round)
  • Stand-by allowance, call-outs, travel paid to and from the site.
  • Service vehicle, Mobile phone, tablet, PPE and any specialist equipment provided.

My client is looking to employ an Air conditioning engineer on the service and maintenance side in the London and Surrounding areas.

You will be responsible for the installation, service/maintenance of single-split, multi-split, VRV/VRF systems at clients' sites.

You must be able to diagnose system faults on various air conditioning systems. You will also train our less experienced engineers and build a team around you. You will also be required to maintain and service items on commercial properties.

We are an acoustic engineering company specialising in the design, supply and installation of noise control hardware.

We are looking for an experienced ‘hands-on’Installations Supervisor to support the growth of our business, based in Walton-On-Thames, Surrey. As a leading Acoustic Engineering Company, we design and install noise control equipment for the construction industry, predominantly in central London, and also in the Home Counties, but also throughout the UK.

Position Overview:

  • Installing, supervising and overseeing the installation of projects from delivery to handover.
  • Hands-on approach to the installation and able to use power tools.
  • Ensuring projects are installed inline with design specifications, drawings, and appropriate quality and health & safety criteria.
  • Undertaking dimensional & level surveys on site.

Position Requirements:

First hand experience of installation works, including the competent use of hand tools, is essential, as the successful candidate will be required to personally undertake some smaller installation works and snagging activities and act as a working supervisor on larger installations.

Ideally the candidate should have a background of supervising installation works within the construction industry. Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Good verbal communication skills at all levels

Training will be provided.

Qualification Requirements:

Essential:

  • Skilled Worker CSCS card
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification
  • IT literate & able to read drawings

Preferred:

  • PASMA certification
  • Manual Handling training certification
  • First Aid certificate
  • IPAF certification
  • Working at Height/Safety harness training
  • Asbestos awareness training

Competitive Salary plus company van after qualifying period (£30,000-£40,000).
28 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays).
Forty hours per week – Typically 08:00 to 16:30 Mon-Fri, but some earlier starts, late finishes and on occasions weekend-working, and overnight stays may be required.

Job Description:

A field-based role, working from home. 

You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing and repairing fume cupboards/Laminar flow cabinets and our own in-house ducting, installation and commissioning engineers.

Ensuring the delivery of excellent standards of service to new and existing customers.

This role primarily serves the area advertised with the intention to return home each day but, when working on an installation, it is likely to require overnight accommodation from time to time. Once fully trained, the Engineer will work mainly on their own but at times with colleagues. All work closely with the project management Team and report to the Field Operations Manager.

The Person

You will have proven experience in an installation & service role along with communication and interpersonal skills. Be customer focused with a strong problem-solving / fault-finding ability, with self-motivation and drive. An electrical bias or proven knowledge is essential with an installation & / or service background.

The candidate must have a full (ideally) clean driving licence & ability to pass both Enhanced DBS & police authority checks.

Experience

To qualify for the upper salary, the applicant must have (ideally, three years minimum) experience in installing & testing fume cupboards & / or Class I / II safety cabinets & / or LEVs.

Essential Duties and Functions

  • Installing new equipment, including PVC/Polypropylene Ducting and welding.
  • Providing scheduled, preventative and reactive maintenance/servicing on fume cupboards, Class I & II safety cabinets & LEV systems.
  • Calibrating/validating, modifying and commissioning Systems
  • Providing post-installation training for customers
  • Perform on-site risk assessments.
  • Computer literate (all reporting carried out on laptop).

Qualification / Cards:

  • NVQ in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 16th / 17th Edition Electrical.
  • P601.
  • GCSE in Maths and English at grade C or above/equivalent
  • Operating within an ISO9001:2000 environment
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Basic IT skills – working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word / Excel).
