Job Description:

Our Client works on Domestic, Commercial, Maintenance, Fire Alarms/Emergency Lighting, social housing and local authority compliance contracts, operating with a fleet of Electrical Engineers in London and the South East.

The business has grown considerably over the last ten years. We currently have a qualified team of 40 engineers, together with supporting Administrators, Contract Managers, a Finance Manager, and a Divisional Manager.

Are you the right person for the job?

• Fully Qualified – To NVQ Level 3 standard

• City and Guilds 2391 – Testing and inspection

• 18th edition

• Experience with domestic installation and EICRs

• Strong ability to test and fault find on LV circuits

• Experience preferably with Social Housing compliance

What will your role look like?

• To represent the company as an additional QS on our NICEIC registration

• Verifying all electricians' inspection & testing results electronically and providing the certificates to clients in the correct format

• Carry out post-inspection checks on electrical works to ensure that works carried out by engineers are done within regulations and to a good standard. Produce post-inspection documents and report findings to the Divisional Manager

• Work as part of a team to support engineers out on the field with technical help

• Help produce all relevant documentation and carry out annual NICEIC inspections

• Produce and carry out toolbox talks with engineers

• The role is primarily office-based

• Support Senior managers with contract support

• The individual must be able to work on their own and be self-motivated

• Training and continual development will be provided

• Help with the progression and training of engineers and apprentices

• Helping with engineer appraisals

SSSTS or SMSTS

Job Requirements

  • Solid experience in the construction industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional certification is preferred but not essential
  • A driver's licence is essential. The vehicle will be supplied

Experience Needed/ About You:

  • Proven track record of servicing, fault finding and repairing a wide range of air conditioning & ventilation systems and associated equipment.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to converse directly with our clients in a clear, personable & knowledgeable manner.
  • Can-do attitude with the aptitude to continue to develop their skill.
  • Clear communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Good teamwork ethic with supervisory skills and confidence to use initiative when required.
  • Must be responsible, have good time management skills, and work off initiative effectively.
  • 5 years + AC, AHU & Ventilation PPM & Fault-Finding experience minimum.

Pay/ Salary:

  • Annual Salary £50 k + depending on experience
  • Van, Fuel Card, Phone & Tablet.

About the Role:

This is a permanent post that conducts Line Maintenance activities on company Beech King Air Series aircraft and other aircraft types.

The role’s key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Line Maintenance activities supporting our Beech 200, 300 and PA31 aircraft
  • Support maintenance and/or rectification on other company aircraft types as required
  • Support the day-to-day running of the Maintenance Organisations Line Station
  • Support the cleanliness, tidiness and upkeep of Maintenance facilities and equipment
  • Stores knowledge, preferably within aviation/aerospace with experience working within a bonded store and tool store.

Qualification:

  • An unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence, holding Beech 200, 300 or PA31 type ratings
  • Demonstrable recent experience on Beech 200, 300 or PA31
  • Flexible and able to travel to work at other sites as required
  • Excellent team player and communicator
  • Able to work as a team
  • Good IT skills
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail
  • Automatic right to work in the UK

Brief Description / Purpose of the function: 

This role is responsible for technical support of manufacturing sustaining products and new product launches. The role also supports the operations team as a front-line engineer working with assemblers and troubleshooting equipment and process issues. Additionally, this position will manage projects to design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.

The main areas of responsibility are as follows but are not limited to:

  • Individuals in this role will work on manufacturing momentum products as well as new product launches.
  • Support the operations team as a front-line engineer working with assemblers and operators and troubleshooting equipment and process issues. 
  • Manage projects focused on designing and developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.
  • Engage with cross-functional business teams to meet daily production schedules and lead improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • Manage projects that include new production equipment, process improvements, and cost reductions while supporting new product introductions.
  • Provide technical mentorship and share new learnings across the manufacturing team.
  • Improve product quality, labour efficiency, and throughput using Lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Coordinate the design, procurement, and building and debugging of tooling, machinery, and test equipment.
  • Work with Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability, support DVT and Pre-Production phases, and lead the introduction of new products into manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain a vibrant 5S Factory System,  
  • Maintain good housekeeping, a healthy and safe work environment and the safe use of equipment and machinery.
  • Be innovative, resourceful, and work with minimal direction
