Sprinkler Installation Engineer

Sprinkler Installation Engineer
High Wycombe
Posted 2 years ago

Location: High Wycombe

Duration: Permanent role

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: 45k

Job Description:

The ideal candidate/s would be confident in reading design drawings; able to forward plan for any additional site materials/equipment and liaise with internal FFP Staff to accommodate this, as well as confidently run a job independently.

We have a Senior Supervisor who oversees the works on all our sites, but the ideal candidate would be confident in running jobs themselves on site without our supervisor present. This would also include liaising with Client Site personnel and reporting back to key personnel within First Fire, including the Senior Site Supervisor & Contracts Manager/s. So being able to articulate themselves well is also important.

Most of our clients are London based so the candidate/s would need to be able to drive; as we also carry out works outside of London and to be able to fulfil their turn on our call-out rota, (this works out roughly one in 5 /6).

Residential experience would be beneficial, though not essential.

As the engineer will be travelling from home, we pay 2 hours travel (max), 8 hours on site.

We also ask that the engineer is commutable to our offices in High Wycombe .

If the candidate is at an Improver level, (not quite an independent installer), we would also be interested.

Though it is essential all engineers have a driving licence and can drive in the UK.

Our salary range for an Installer starts roughly around £40-£45k plus but it does totally come down to the level of experience held and the competence of independently running a job.  Also, the level of industry recognised training certificates held.

If the engineer is at an Improver level; the salary will be around £36k plus, dependant on experience and industry-recognised qualifications held.

In summary:

  • Call Out Rota will be one in five/six.
  • 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
  • Company Van.
  • Company Fuel.
  • Company Credit Card (for business).
  • Company Mobile phone.
  • Job related training – we continuously monitor & review all our employee training as part of our ISO9001:2015 Certification. We are also very fortunate that within our company we have people that have worked within the industry for many years, so for the right candidate this could be a great learning experience.
  • Work based pension
