Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the production of cost plans for New-Build Residential and Mixed-Use projects across all RIBA stages, from Stage 0 (Strategic Definition) to Stage 5 (Construction). The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of cost management and a proven ability to deliver accurate and detailed cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Requirements:

• Production of cost plans for New Build Residential and Mix Used
• Projects from RIBA Stage 0 to RIBA Stage 5
• Client liaison and attending design team meetings
• Client-side Valuations, certification and evaluation of changes
• Reviewing and analysing Main Contractors’ Tender submissions
• Cost exercises for clients, including Value Engineering
• Maintaining cost database
• Focus on residential projects and fire remediation work

Key Skills Required:

• Experience in high-rise cladding and replacement and contractor negotiations
• Preparation of Cost/Benefit analysis of design options
• Ensuring all costs are tracked & validated/ open book evaluation
• Supporting clients by producing accurate and competitive cost estimates
• Cost comparison and main contractor selection
• Cost control and preparation of periodic financial reconciliations, reports and forecasts
• Respond to commercial and contractual disputes and claims, including loss and expense, final account, changes and cost value reconciliation review
• Understanding of JCT Design & Build Contracts
• Negotiation with Contractors
• Review of pricing documents against programme and cashflow
