Job Description:

We seek an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the cost estimation, budget control, and financial planning for high-end residential fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in luxury fit-outs and a keen eye for detail, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for high-end residential fit-out projects.
  • Contract Administration: Manage contracts, including preparation, review, and negotiation of terms.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce accurate financial reports, forecasts, and final accounts.
  • Tendering: Prepare and evaluate tender documents, analyze bids, and make recommendations.
  • Valuation: Conduct regular valuations of work in progress and prepare interim applications for payment.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.
  • Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors.
  • Project Tracking: Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budget and schedule.
  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of UK experience in quantity surveying, focusing on high-end residential fit-outs.
  • Professional Certification: Membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts effectively.
