Requirements

• A minimum 5 years’ experience
• Must have worked on Public Works contracts.
• Social Housing sector
• Worked on Projects throughout the construction cycle

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Re-measurement of works requirements
• Sub-contractor appointment & management to final account
• Cost control & value engineering
• Valuing completed work and arranging for payments of same
• Timely drafting of commercial and contractual correspondence
• Valuing and recovery of contract varied & additional works
• Prepare and review monthly cost reports
• Negotiation and agreement of main contract final accounts
• A key leader in the development and growth of the company
• A team player with good organisational, communication and reporting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ideal candidate

• A Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying
• IT Skills – experience in using Cost X and Build Soft
• Good knowledge of construction
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good financial and numeracy management skills
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
