Job Purpose:

The Project Manager will oversee and manage civil engineering and groundworks projects across the Southwest of England and South Wales. They will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project execution, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints while maintaining quality standards and adhering to safety regulations

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment of project objectives.

Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including labour, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements.

Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize potential impact on project success.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure workmanship and deliverables meet or exceed industry standards.

Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a culture of safety among project team members.

Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Progress Monitoring: Regularly review project progress against milestones, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts and issues that arise during project execution, seeking mutually beneficial resolutions to maintain project momentum.

Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and meeting minutes.

Skills and Experience Required:

Civil Engineering and Groundworks Experience: Demonstrated experience managing civil engineering and groundworks projects, including site preparation, earthworks, drainage, and infrastructure.

Project Management Skills: Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute projects from initiation to completion, meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints.
