We are working with a large client of ours advertising for a great opportunity to join an established company as an O&M Solar PV Electrician. The role also involves helping with their electric underfloor heating activity.

Established in 1987 our client maintains and repairs PV systems for domestic and commercial projects. They also install electric underfloor heating systems throughout the South East & London.

The company has gained extensive experience in solar energy and enjoys an enviable reputation within the renewable industry.

The company is MCS accredited and NICEIC Approved Contractors, to date they have performed over 6000 solar installations.

As part of their commitment to customers they are seeking an O&M solar PV electrician, to primarily deal with planned service and maintenance of domestic & commercial solar PV systems. You will need to have a proven background within the PV industry, with experience of installing domestic and commercial solar systems. A good practical knowledge of maintaining modules, inverters, DC wiring and monitoring systems is also preferred but not essential. Candidates must have previous PV experience and hold relevant qualifications to apply for this position.

You will also be required to be the Qualified Supervisor (QS) for their underfloor heating department. Previous experience in the QS role reviewing & signing off installation paperwork is preferred but not essential. Any UFH installation experience would also be beneficial, although in-house training will be provided.

You should be reliable, hardworking and have an excellent standard of work.

Electrical & PV qualifications required:

• City & Guilds 2361 & 2362 Electrical installation or City & Guilds 2330/2356/2357 NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services.
• City & Guilds 2391-01, Inspection, testing & certification of electrical installations or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2382-18, BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition regs.)
• City & Guild 2372/2399-13 / BPEC / NICEIC Solar PV installation.

Preferred inverter training:

• SMA, Fronius, SolarEdge.

H&S requirements:

• Harness & working at height trained.
• Asbestos awareness.
• Manual handling.
• JIB card.

Our client will provide you with a van, tools, mobile, laptop, relevant PPE and a competitive salary of £30-42,000, depending on your experience.

The successful candidate will also receive 20 days annual leave per year.
