Job Description:

As the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations, reduce risks, and promote a culture of safety excellence. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conducting regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations and projects.
• Designing and delivering comprehensive safety training programs for employees at all levels.
• Investigating and reporting on any accidents, incidents, near-misses and recommending preventative measures.
• Keeping updated with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Leading emergency response planning and coordinating drills to ensure preparedness.
• Managing safety-related documentation, records, and reporting requirements.

Qualification / Cards:

• A bachelor’s degree in occupational health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. A relevant master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (X+ years) as a Health & Safety Manager or in a similar leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Strong analytical skills to identify risks and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence employees at all levels.
• Certification in [e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)] is preferred.
• Proficiency in relevant software for documentation and data analysis.
