Job Description:

Work Location:

  • Various sites around the UK and in the workshop
  • Some overseas work is available depending on experience

Working Hours:

  • 40 hours a week Monday to Friday. (UK Mainland)
  • Weekend overtime work availability.

Experience:

  • 2 years (preferred) of pumps and their drivers
  • Working knowledge of fire sprinkler, deluge, wet riser and hydrant systems
  • Full UK driving licence

Can you work on your own or with others to undertake the following primary tasks:

  • Carry out planned maintenance works to Fire Pumps, diesel engines, electric motors and their control panels – LPC/NFPA/FM standards
  • Attend ‘call outs’ (on a rota) to investigate, diagnose and rectify faults on fire pumps
  • Carry out both ‘electrical’ and ‘mechanical’ remedial repairs to fire pumps on site
  • Carry out safe removal of equipment from the site to facilitate workshop inspection and repair
  • Carry out safe installation and testing of new and/or repair equipment
  • Be able to assist other engineers with repairs and fault finding

Do you have good communication and written skills?

  • You will have to provide accurate and reliable reports
  • Be able to work safely with specialist lifting and access equipment

Other details:

  • Use of company vehicle
  • Paid Annual leave
  • Call outs paid as an addition to standard salary
  • Some overnight stay’s, average one night a week.

Qualification / Cards:

  • CSCS
