Job Description:

Our client is looking for an additional experienced Fire and Security Project Manager to support the growth of the business and is Ideally based close to London.

The job description is as follows:

MUST HAVE FIRE & SECURITY INSTALL PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE.

  • Primarily based on site locations in and around London.
  • Must be comfortable commuting into London on a daily basis.
  • We are generally a projects based business and our PM’s are either on one project or a number of smaller projects.
  • We work for Main Contractors and Electrical Contractors.
  • Most projects are in London or within the M25.
  • Projects values usually range from £500K to £5mil.
  • Aprox c£1m of works is allocated to our PM’s (this is a rolling value spread across workload).
  • Owing to the shortage of skilled candidates in the market place we will consider positions of Senior Project Engineer wanting to progress to Project Manager.
  • Good written & communication skills & comfortable in customer-facing environments.
  • Conversant with MS Office suite.
  • Able to read, work to & abide by Programme of Works.
  • Conversant with issuing of RAMS & project related documents.
  • Manage sub-contract labour.
  • Manage & Maintain good Health & Safety.
  • Reporting to the Contracts Manager.

Qualification / Cards:

  • SSSTS or SMSTS accreditation is desirable although not essential (we will consider training for successful candidates)
  • Valid ECS or CSCS card holder, if the Candidate doesn’t hold either they will need to achieve a Skills Related ECS Card to be considered

Additional Information:

  • Private Healthcare
  • Fares for business can be claimed but we would expect the employee to manage this to get best value (we require an idea of fares for 1 day, 1 week, 1 month Travel Cards or equivalent).
  • Car Allowance for PM Role/Position but travel to & from site is best done by public transport.
  • 40 hours a week, hours to be agreed (typically, we start at 08;00 at the earliest, working an 8 hour shift + break times).
  • 25 days paid holiday per annum (pro-rated, our holiday year runs from January to December), 3 days are to be retained for the Christmas break.
  • 8 paid Bank Holiday days.
  • 6 months’ Probationary Period.
  • Employees will be entitled to join the NEST Pension scheme after a 3 month period.
  • Mobile Phone and Laptop provided for business use.
