Our client is looking for an Electrical Labourer within a one hundred miles radius of Birmingham.

Hours: Dependent upon location

Salary: Dependent upon experience

Employment: A three to four months fixed-term contract, with the potential to go permanent.

To install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring and lighting systems as part of our building and refurbishment projects (predominantly within the education and hospitality sectors).

Responsibilities:

• Performing general electrical maintenance 

• Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers and other electrical components

• Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate tests

• Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring and fixtures

• Installing safety and distribution components

• Connecting wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components 

• Performing circuit breaker corrective maintenance 

• Monitoring and reporting on activities and providing relevant information to the management team 

• Attending relevant training courses to continue the development of knowledge and skills

Skills and Attributes:

• Ability to multi-task and work unsupervised

• A good understanding of health & safety legislation

• Willingness to work away Monday – Friday during the week (Accommodation provided)

• Flexible approach to working hours dependent on the needs of the job

Qualifications: Essential

• GSCE Maths – C or above

• GCSE English – C or above

• City & Guilds 2382 18^th Edition 

• CSCS card

• Valid driving licence

Qualifications: Desirable

• First aid at work

• Asbestos awareness 

• Competent user of Microsoft office

• Experience within the hospitality sector
