Drainage Technician
Location: Ipswich and surrounding areas.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hourly rate £DOE
Regular working hours shall be 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Due to continued expansion, my client is looking for several Drainage technicians to join their already successful team as they grow as a market leader within the drainage industry.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working alone or as part of a team and capable of implementing and following strict health and safety procedures and processes. The individual must also be punctual, reliable, and have good organizational skills. You will be required to be on call for out-of-hours work and over weekends on a rota basis.
This role requires fitness and strength as you will be lifting manhole covers.
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
- Understanding of different types of drain systems in use.
- Understanding of different drain materials
- HPWJ (High Pressure Water Jetting).
- Drain Surveying.
- Using the latest Crawler cameras.
- Drain tracing equipment.
- Customer focused.
- Can use IT equipment.
- Understand Construction and drainage drawings.
- NRSWA Tickets.
- Confined spaces trained.
- Can drive over 3.5T, 7.5T plus.
- Drain CCTV survey certificates.
- Drain Lining.
- Working on pumps.
- Electrical certificates.
- Experienced in drain lining/repairs.
- Off mains drainage experience.
Essential Requirements:
- Hold a full UK manual driving license and be confident driving and working in and around central London.
- Willing to work away from time to time.
- They must be able to work independently and be part of a team.
- Capable to work in confined spaces.
- Clean DBS

You will be required to be on call for out-of-hours work and on weekends on a rota basis.
Working away, you will be given an allowance, and accommodation will be paid for.
Most works are conducted in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex. You may be required to work outside these areas.
