Salary: £35-£50k DOE (after six months company van/truck and fuel card).

The role:

The primary responsibility is to perform on-site inspections of various in-built fire protection elements, including fire door sets, fire stopping, cavity barriers, and structural steel fire protection, installed by our Gunfire Site Personnel. Meticulously assess these installations, ensuring they meet both current regulatory standards and manufacturer test data requirements. Your diligence in this role will be pivotal in upholding safety and compliance within our projects.

The candidate:

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the organisation complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to its operations. 

Risk Assessment: Identify potential compliance risks and assess their impact on the organisation. 

Monitoring and Auditing: Continuously monitor the organisation’s activities and processes to detect any instances of non-compliance. Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments.

Training and Education: Develop and deliver compliance training for employees and management to raise awareness of compliance issues and promote a culture of compliance.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of passive fire protection systems, materials, and installation techniques. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.

Third-Party Compliance: Monitor and assess the compliance of third-party suppliers, and contractors that the organisation interacts with.

Investigations, Fire Stopping & Fire Door Surveys/Sign Off: Conduct internal investigations into alleged violations, maintaining confidentiality and objectivity throughout the process. Conduct fire stopping, fire door & Compartmentation Surveys along with Fire Door Certification Sign Off (BM Trada – If applicable to role)

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving compliance processes and programs and implement enhancements.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities and incidents and provide timely and accurate reports to senior management.

Compliance Culture: Promote a culture of compliance throughout the organisation by setting an example, communicating the importance of compliance, and encouraging reporting of potential issues.

Adaptation to Change: Be flexible and adaptable in response to evolving regulations and industry standards.
