Our client aims to hire a CAD Technician to help them maintain their reputation as industry leaders in Fire and Building Safety. In this role, you will create detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will work closely with our engineering and design teams to develop and modify designs for fire protection systems, building safety features, and other related projects.
Role Requirements
- Interpreting and translating design concepts and ideas into accurate and detailed technical drawings using CAD software.
- Collaborating with design engineers and architects to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
- Adjusting and revising drawings as necessary based on feedback from team members or clients.
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure conformity with specifications and existing standards.
- Preparing and presenting rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
- Produce accurate as-built floor plans and elevations from point cloud data.
- Assisting in the management of project files and CAD library.
- Providing assistance and support to team members during the design and planning process.
Key Skills Required
- Holds professional qualifications in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or a relevant qualification
- Proven work experience as a CAD Technician.
- Proficient in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Revit and Microstation).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent spatial awareness and understanding of 2D and 3D modelling.
- Familiarity with engineering or architectural design concepts and terminologies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of ISO 19650 standards for managing information over the whole life cycle of the project.
