Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead the design process across multiple high-profile projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in high-end residential and commercial design management, ensuring projects achieve the highest standards of aesthetics, functionality, and feasibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership: Oversee and manage the full design process, from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with the client’s vision and project goals.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with clients, architects, interior designers, and consultants to integrate design intent with construction feasibility.
- Project Oversight: Ensure design integrity is maintained throughout project execution while balancing timelines, budgets, and buildability.
- Quality Control: Review and approve design packages, specifications, and materials to meet the highest industry standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to planning regulations, building codes, and sustainability standards.
- Problem-Solving & Risk Management: Identify design risks early and develop solutions to maintain project efficiency and quality.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and support internal and external design teams, fostering innovation and excellence.
Requirements:
- Experience: 8+ years in design management within high-end residential or commercial construction.
- Education: Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge: Extensive understanding of design principles, construction methodologies, materials, and industry trends.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in design and project management software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Procore.
- Certifications: RIBA, ARB, or equivalent professional accreditation (preferred).
